so…i guess the meaning is understood mainly by context?
and i suppose a bit of the intonation is still left in the melody, or the melody kind of goes along with the intonation.(?)

hmmm. Chinese is so complicated XD But I love learning it. Not that I’ve learned much yet, but I feel closer to my Chinese-speaking friends.

…hopefully my teacher has those phrases embedded in the lessons >=D

So without the right sound/intonation? Chinese words cannot be recognized, right?

like, “gushi” could mean “story” or “skeleton” (if i remember that correctly) depending on the pinyin symbol placed on the vowels…

SO HOW DO CHINESE SONGS WORK?! 0_0
doesn’t singing to the right melody sort of mess up the vowel sounds?

I did absolutely nothing these past two weeks

except shopping, but that’s a different story

So I’m going back to Japan already.

……If my memory is correct, I came here on the first of March. What day is it today? WHAT THE HELL WAS I DOING THESE TWO WEEKS!?

I thought I’d be able to go visit people at TP, UCSD, and the other colleges nearby, but no I just stayed home and improved my hikikomori skills =P
